Yup, I am definitely on the bandwagon. Year 2012 is probably the biggest year for K-POP considering how PSY - Gangnam Style Song becomes the most watch MV on Youtube over 1 billion views and counting in 5 months.
Honestly, I only follow girl groups because of their appearance and dance. Of course, SuJu and Big Bang are pretty good. But I started with SNSD of course, initially I thought they can only dance, not so much on the singing since it's just KPop. But then the more you listen, the more you watch, the more you get hook. Each song has different type of dance signatures. But seriously, I like SNSD mostly because of their involvement in variety shows, which is very funny and comical. Anyway, there is a few members of the group that can really sing like TaeYeon, Tiffany and Jessica.

And from there, the interest grows to other girl groups like T-ara, Kara, Secret, Sistar etc. For me, I like them , like how I like football. Analyze their group, their strengths, their performances etc. That's how things get more interesting. Just like a football team, each specialize in different abilities, dancing, rapping , lead vocals etc.
I am not sure how long the Hallyu wave will last, but for now, I can't get enough of them. Listening to the songs everyday, especially when going to work and back home, helps keep the driving less stressful. And watching the staple KPOP music shows, from Thursday to Sunday every week is a routine. Since I don't have much friends, their various aegyo's and antics on variety shows such as Running Man, Gang Concert, Strong Heart, Happy Together etc etc keeps me company most of the time.
My growing collection that costing me lotsa money these days. Most people like to collect something so I guess I found mine??
To end, my favorite song this year is T-ara's Lovey Dovey actually. I listen to it for a whole year already. Makes me wish I was 5 years younger..haha.
