Zhangjiajie, land of Avatar?

Zhangjiajie, the ultimate and main focal attraction of this tour. The Chinese say its the inspiration for the Avatar filming location for its mountain peaks and scenery. However, the filming crew says its inspire by Huangshan in Anhui.

But based on my visit, the similarity is there with the mountains peaks at Wulingyuan Scenic Area at Yuanjiajie, only no floating mountains of course.

The moutain peaks range from 400-800 meter high or more.

This is known as the First Bridge In the World formed naturally.

Hallelujah Mt Peak?

The scene is more breathtaking when seen in real person, with the misty and cold weather, its really awesome.

The Tianmen Cave at Tianmen Shan. Need 999 steps to go up there. Its actually a hole in the mountain.
Watching a local musical show,The Love Story of A Woodman and Fairy Fox (天门狐仙), a popular love story consist of 600 performers. The backdrop is the real Tianmenshan. The visual aspects are pretty nifty and impressive as well.

A type of old house where the Tu Tribe people used to live.

Overall, the trip is pretty tiring, with long drives in the bus for a few days. Food wise seems pretty bad this time around. Local tour guide was so so. The best place to go was definitely Zhangjiajie, with those quartz-sandstone pillar-like formations that are seen throughout the park
