With the undeniable popularity social sites such as Facebook and Myspace, one wonders will it also become our online grave? I mean, some of us will die someday whether planned or unplanned, and somehow, part of our remains will be our online profile unless someone else knows our password and delete it for us. Or deactivated by the site admin.
But of course, who can help us to update our status as in picture above? Anyhow, our Facebook profile will create an everlasting online memory of the dead unless the site went dead or the DB corrupted and unrecoverble.
Those who knew of a passing friend, can spread the news. Post it on the deads' wall, and allow people to post tributes and condolences to that person as not everyone will be able to attend the funeral service anyway. There are probably such sites regarding online grave but none of them will be as popular as Facebook or Myspace. And more importantly, contains the background of the dead person, who he was, what he did, the pictures he posted, his friends etc etc..
One wonders, will the dying wish be: 'Please update my FB status, the username and password is 'xxxx' and 'yyyy'. But of course, how many will take what we posted online seriously??
