Yunnan Travel Part 3: Lijiang Splendour

5th Day, the only day in this trip we are allowed to wake up late around 8am. Temperature is around 10°C. Our first destination of the day is the called 'Yu Shui Chai'. Not sure what to call in
English..hehe.

Its all green from here. The statue is the God of Moshuo people.

Evergreen flowing water.

A superb view at the top pond.

After lunch we were brought to watch a show entitled the 'Impression Lijiang', the highest perfromance site(?) at 3300m. This show is directed by Zhang Yimou, Fan Yue and Wang Chaoge with 500 actors/actresses involved. Basically, it illustrate the life and custom of the Naxi people.

Its an open theatre under the sun!

Going up to put my wish.

Visit to Lijiang would not be complete without a hike to Yu Long(Jade Dragon) Snow Mountain with its highest peak at 5596m high. However, the timing is not right as most of the snow has already melted.

Captured on the way to the mountain.

Taking cable car up to about 4500m.

Luckily there is still some snow.

Almost as high as the cloud.

Making it to the peak.

Our last stop is the Bai Shue He (White Snow River) regarded as the birthplace of the Naxi people. The water here is crystal clear and cooling.

Melted snow flowing for the Snow Mountain itself.

Hmm, real or man-made?

Still more to come. ;)
